This paper discusses three aspects of rights in performances in Kenya. First, the concepts of rights in performance and its various components in Kenya, as well as its regional and transnational legislative framework. This includes the rights of performance, fixation, broadcasting, or reproduction of a performance. Second, the challenges emerging out of the legislative and policy framework, as well as the current practice rights in performance. Finally, the proposals for reforming the national and international regime in rights to performance.
